An adaptable walk with stunning scenery and loch views.
General Wade’s military roads are made up of major 4 roads that connected the Highlands in the 16th century. We, however, like to enjoy a little stretch of just one that straddles Fort Augustus and Loch Tarff.
It's a beautiful walk that offers stunning views of Loch Ness and the surrounding hills.
We’ve not done the whole route, but rather use this one for a quick leg stretch. Here’s where we usually park. Whether you turn left or right once hitting the track, you won't be disappointed with the views.
